Arbor Sanquinis Draconis. Luxuriat in locis paludosis fructus floresq' nullos ferens, cortex vulneratus fundit gummi rubicundum saporis et virtutis adstringentis, in dysenteria commendatissimum.

Drakenbloedboom. Komt veel voor op moerassige plekken, draagt geen vruchten en bloemen. Een beschadigde bast geeft (stort) een rood rubber, met verstijvend sap en (verstijvende) kracht en (rubber) dat bij dysenterie zeer wordt aanbevolen.

English translation:
Dragonblood tree. Is very common in swampy places, carries no fruits or flowers. An injured cortex gives red, gumlike sap, which brings together forces and is highly recommendet in dysentery.
